What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment online via paypal or cash. Cheques are no longer accepted as the guarantee scheme has ceased. This is to prevent bounced cheques.

I'm only available on evenings and weekends, can you collect then?
Yes we can, we can also collect from an alternative address or your workplace from 9am til 10pm 7 days a week.

Can you offer general advice over the phone?
Yes we can, though if the problem seems too involved, and we think we need a visit we will let you know.

What are the full details of your guarantee?
The guarantee for repair work is for 2 months from the date of the repair. Custom PC builds have the 1 year warranty for parts, though any labour will be charged for after the first 2 months. If we at any stage cannot fix a problem to your satisfaction within 2 months we will return 100% of your cash, as long as it isn't software related.

My laptop needs a part replaced, which is specific to the model can you help?
Certainly, just give us a call and let us know what the problem is, cosmetic or working parts can be ordered in order to be repaired. You will receive an accurate quote over the phone before we order the part.

Generally, how long does it take Adept to fix a computer?
Viruses, software problems and reinstalls usually take between 1 hour and 1.5 hours, which is between £30 and £45. For larger jobs such as motherboard replacements and in-depth hardware repairs it ranges between £30 and £60 for labour (1-2 hours). We never charge over £60 labour for a repair, excluding parts.

Do you repair Apple Mac's?
We are not trained to repair Apple Macs though we can outsource it to a company who can. Apple hardware repairs are usually extremely expensive as a result of how 'all-in-one' their design usually is. We can however replace hard disc drives, dvd drives and some screens (dependant on model). Apple Mac OS reinstallations are also not a problem.

We currently have no vacancies, though any vacancies will be advertised on the home page of the website. We are not looking to recruit any time soon.
